FirsTrip Update, April 4th-8th

Hello all!
We're currently camped out Titusville Florida, just south of Daytona Beach. Heading to Cocoa Beach & Cape Canaveral in the morning.

So far the trip has been: DC > Myrtle Beach SC > Charleston SC > Hilton Head SC > Savannah GA > Jacksonville FL> St. Augustine FL > Daytona Beach FL > Titusville FL.

Seeing the Yorktown WWII Aircraft Carrier in Charleston, walking the local scene in Savannah along the water, along with the "Mighty 8th" Airforce Museum, and driving the RV on the actual beach in Daytona, are the big highlights so far.

This link ( http://photobucket.com/airstreamadventurers ), or just click the blog post title, will take you to our Photobucket page with some pictures of the trip thus far.

The trip's been a lot of fun so far, and a great chance to get away and relax. And I (Shan) have been doing most of the driving so far. Will be posting more soon!

  4. Hi Scott & Shan,

So where are you now? Have been looking at your pictures and see that you have had lots of sunshine and blue skies. Lucky for you. We have been having sun here in Switzerland, but the temps are still cool - highs of around 55-60°. Our house is like a library these days with Anna studying for final exams in 2 more weeks. Then her exams are scheduled over another 2-3 weeks, ending the 3rd week of May. Hoping Nana will be able to come for Anna's graduation around June 6th, but don't want a repeat of her "disappearing" from the airport and leaving us in a panic, aka the return to Boston Logan two years ago from Switzerland. Niels working 7/7 in preparation for a big event on April 28th in New York at the United Nations. If you want to sign-up for watching a live webcast on the subject of water, nutrition and rural development, let me know and I can do that for you or tell you how. The world's foremost authorities/thinkers on the subject will be in discussion for one day. I'm busy keeping the home fires burning, preparing meals, doing some gardening, yoga and walks in the vineyards everyday, reading...Just finished "White Tiger," which was very interesting about life as a servant in India. Am preparing the invitations to families for Anna's class graduation, enrolled in a review class of french, and just planned a one-week trip to the Mediterranean island of Corsica (France)at the end of June for the 3 of us -- to celebrate Anna's graduation.

Keep sending those pictures and updates. Hope you are both enjoying the adventure.

    Love, Jamie
